lot of good anti-virus softwares are available in the market today both free and paid. But, sometimes one cannot trust completely on the virus detecting ability of an antivirus product. There could be flaws. Some times viruses escape undetected. So what is the solution?
We cannot run multiple anti-virus software in our systems because that would do more harm than good. Here is something we could try if we found a suspicious file or an e-mail attachment. A site called 'virustotal.com' will help us. We can upload the suspicious file to 'virustotal.com' and they will scan the suspicious files for us, not with one but with 36 different anti-virus softwares ! So now you can be assured, there is no way a virus goes undetected. This is a sure-shot way to keep your system clean.
